Hanh On has been with BG Private for approximately 25 years and was appointed Partner in 2017.

With a background in accounting, financial planning and self-managed superannuation, his broad cross-section of experience allows him to give clients truly all-encompassing advice.

Hanh On established BG Private’s dedicated SMSF Management division in 2004, which has since grown rapidly. This highly specialised team provides technical advice regarding SMSFs and undertakes all the related administrative and compliance obligations.

In addition to that, Hanh works with professionals and young families to help establish their short- and long-term financial goals and implements the right processes and structures to help achieve them. He is driven to help clients create the life they want, whether it’s living out their retirement dream, supporting their loved ones or leaving a legacy.

For people closer to retirement age, Hanh provides strategic advice regarding restructuring their superannuation and investments so as to maximise outcomes in readiness for retirement.

He works hard to deliver a highly personalised service that considers each client’s specific circumstances no matter where they are in their financial journey. He knows the difference a trusted advisor can make and enjoys standing alongside each client.

Outside of his professional life, Hanh enjoys coaching basketball and watching his kids hit the courts. He also provides pro bono support to several not-for-profits.

Experiences of note

  • Hanh helped a Monopoly-themed indoor entertainment centre startup with everything from business structure to capital raising. As the first offering of its kind in Australia, it was a difficult journey but Hanh helped bring the client’s dream to life.
  • One of Hanh’s business clients was paying high rents for a warehouse. As a result of Hanh’s advice, the client benefited from improving their cashflow and asset appreciation, helping fund their retirement.
